This mould is self supporting, which means there are no visable marks from the mould supports. Each one is handmade from high quality silicone, giving each mould strength and durability. This mould will create a domed art stone, perfect for dotting and painting. This will also work perfectly with encapsulating resins. The centre dot is inverted to allow a compass to sit comfortably in when marking guild lines. This is the medium size of a set.

    THE PHYSICAL LIFE OF YOUR MOLD WILL DEPEND ON HOW YOU USE IT (MATERIALS CAST, FREQUENCY, ETC) AND THIS CAN ALTER PERSON TO PERSON, SO WE AT DEVON DOTTING HAVE PUT TOGETHER A BIT OF GUIDANCE.

     

    • TREAT YOUR MOLDS GENTLY, PULLING STRETCHING AND POKING WITH A TOOTHPICK WILL SHORTEN THE LIFE OF YOUR MOLD.

    • ALWAYS WASH YOUR MOLD BEFORE EACH USE AND ENSURE IT IS DRY, DO NOT USE AN ABRASIVE PAD TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF YOUR MOLD, JUST WARM SOAPY WATER AND FINGERS ARE FINE.

    • AVOID TOUCHING THE INSIDE OF YOUR MOLD EXCEPT FROM WASHING, OILS FROM YOUR SKIN CAN AND WILL AFFECT THE FINISHED PRODUCT FROM YOUR MOLD, DONT NOT  SCRATCH OR RUB THE INSIDE OF YOUR MOLD AS THIS WILL WEAR THE MOLD DOWN AND IF YOUR MOLD IS GLOSSY, THIS WILL MAKE IT MATTE

    • MOLDS SHOULD BE STORED ON A LEVEL FLAT SURFACE, DO NOT PUT OTHER MOLDS OR OBJECTS ON TOP OF YOUR MOLD AS THE CAN DISTORT THE MOLD AND PUT IT OUT OF SHAPE.

    ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR MOLD PLEASE INSPECT IT, SHOULD THERE BE ANY ISSUES PLEASE CONTACT ME WITHIN 72 HOURS OF RECEIVING IT.
